# O.C.G.A. § 35-2-52. Clothing allowance for personal security or special duty assignments.

The commissioner, at his discretion and subject to available funds, shall be authorized to pay to members of the Uniform Division a clothing allowance when the members are permanently assigned to personal security or special duty assignments which necessitate those members wearing clothing other than the uniform of the Uniform Division. The commissioner, subject to the approval of the board, shall establish the amount of clothing allowance to be paid each year.

## Amendments

The 2025 amendment, effective July 1, 2025, part of an Act to revise, modernize, and correct the Code, substituted “board,” for “Board of Public Safety,” in the last sentence.
