36-32-22. Establishment of Georgia Municipal Courts Training Council; membership.

- (a)
There is established a council which shall be known and designated as the “Georgia Municipal Courts Training Council” and which shall be composed of the director of the administrative office of the courts or the director’s designee, which member shall not be a voting member, and five municipal judges who shall be appointed by the Council of Municipal Court Judges of Georgia. The initial terms for two members shall expire on December 31, 1991. The initial terms for three members shall expire on December 31, 1992. Following the expiration of these initial terms, their successors shall be appointed for terms of two years.#
- (b)
In the event of death, resignation, disqualification, or removal for any reason of any member of the council, vacancies shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment and successors shall serve for the unexpired term.#
- (c)
Membership on the council does not constitute public office and no member shall be disqualified from holding office by reason of his membership.#
