Definitions. As used in this chapter, the term: (1) “Public agency” means: (A) Any political subdivision of this state other than a county school district or independent school district; (B) Any volunteer fire department; (C) Any volunteer rescue squad; (D) Any agency of the state government or of the United States; and (E) Any political subdivision of another state.
