36-73-4. Impingement upon powers, authority, rights, and duties of sheriffs prohibited.

  1. No contract under Article IX, Section IV, Paragraph IV of the Constitution shall in any manner impinge upon the constitutional and statutory powers, authority, rights, and duties granted to the sheriffs of this state prior to the adoption of said Paragraph IV.
