37-1-110. Legislative findings.

  1. The General Assembly finds and determines that:

  2. (1)

    Over the last decade the State of Georgia has invested significant resources toward the transformation of the behavioral health service delivery system; and#

  3. (2)

    The conclusion of the settlement agreement with the United States Department of Justice will mark significant accomplishments in system performance and presents the opportunity to conduct a systematic study to promote the continued progress of the state behavioral health system. Such a study and the formulation of recommendations for behavioral health innovation can best be carried out through an established commission.#
