Commissioner of veterans service — Broad discretion in extending aid; utilize department to fullest. The commissioner of veterans service shall exercise broad discretion in extending to veterans the aid and assistance provided by law and shall extend the services of the Department of Veterans Service so as to make available to all veterans the aid and services contemplated by law. In rendering the services required, the commissioner is authorized and empowered to advance consistently the interests of veterans of this state and to extend the Department of Veterans Service to its full limit of appropriations and funds provided by law. ## History Ga.
