As used in this chapter, the term: (1) ‘‘Livestock’’ means cattle, swine, equines, poultry, sheep, goats, nontraditional livestock, and ruminants. (2) ‘‘Nontraditional livestock’’ means the species of Artiodactyla (even-toed ungulates) listed as bison, water buffalo, farmed deer, llamas, and alpacas that are held and possessed legally and in a manner which is not in conflict with the provisions of Chapter 5 of Title 27 dealing with wild animals.
