Circumstances not affecting suspensions by operation of law. If a person’s driver’s license is suspended by operation of law as provided in Code Section 40-5-63, 40-5-67.1, or 40-5-67.2, the fact that the person’s driver’s license was not physically surrendered to the law enforcement officer at the time the person was charged with violating Code Section 40-6-391 or that the person’s driver’s license was not retained by the court and forwarded to the department as provided in Code Section 40-5-67 or that the person’s driver’s license was not forwarded as provided in Code Section 40-5-72 shall not affect such suspension. ## History Code 1981, § 40-5-73, enacted by Ga. L. 1997, p. 760, § 1, not codified by the General Assembly, provides: “This Act shall be known and may be cited as the ‘Teen-age and Adult Driver Responsibility Act.’” Ga.
