43-14-13. Display of license and registration or certificate number.

- (a)
Every person holding a license issued by a division of the board shall display it in a conspicuous manner at his or her place of business.#
- (b)
All commercial vehicles used by licensees and certificate holders exclusively in the daily operation of their business shall have prominently displayed thereon the company or business registration or certificate number issued by the Secretary of State’s office. Such registration number or certificate number, or website address where such number can be found, shall also be prominently displayed on any advertising relating to work which a licensee or certificate holder purports to have the capacity to perform. Said registration or certificate number shall also be printed on all invoices and proposal forms.#

Amendments
The 2025 amendment, effective July 1, 2025, redesignated former Code Section 43-14-9 as present Code Section 43-14-13; inserted “or her” in subsection (a); and, in subsection (b), inserted “or certificate” in the first and third sentences, and in the second sentence, inserted “or certificate number, or website address where such number can be found,” and deleted “in telephone yellow pages and newspapers” following “advertising”.
