Chairperson; meetings; organization of divisions; meetings of divisions; quorums within divisions. (a) The office of chairperson shall be rotated among the five divisions enumerated in Code Section 43-14-3 unless the board, through its rules and regulations, provides otherwise. Any vacancy in the office of chairperson shall be filled by the members for the unexpired term. The individual selected to fill the vacancy shall be a member of the same division as the previous chairperson. (b) The board shall meet at the call of the chairperson or upon the recommendation of a majority of its members. (c) Each division within the board shall also elect from its membership a chairperson who shall serve for a term of two years. Any vacancy in the office of chairperson shall be filled by one of the members for the unexpired term. (d) Any member elected chairperson of a division may serve more than one consecutive term of office. (e) Each division shall carry out its powers and duties provided for in this chapter with the assistance of the executive director and staff of the board. (f) The divisions shall meet at the call of the chairperson. (g) Three members of each division shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business of such division. ## History Ga.
