Issuance of license upon passing examination; further educational and training requirements for applicants failing to pass examination within certain period of time. (a) Any applicant who meets the license requirements stated in Code Section 43-26-36 or subsection (b) of Code Section 43-26-38 and passes the required exam may be issued a license to practice as a licensed practical nurse. (b) An applicant who has not passed the examination within a time period established by the board, which shall not exceed three years, shall be required to complete further education and training which may include the successful completion of an approved nursing education program as defined in Code Section 43-26-32. ## History Code 1981, § 43-26-37, enacted by Ga.
