# O.C.G.A. § 43-3-1. Short title.

This chapter shall be known and may be cited as the “Public Accountancy Act of 2025.”

Code 1933, § 84-201, enacted by Ga. L. 1977, p. 1063, § 1; Ga. L. 2014, p. 136, § 1-2/HB 291; Ga. L. 2025, p. 296, § 1-1/HB 148, effective January 1, 2026.

## Amendments

The 2025 amendment, effective January 1, 2026, substituted “2025” for “2014” at the end of this Code section.

## Delayed Effective Date

Code Section 43-3-1 is set out twice in this Code. This version is effective January 1, 2026. For version effective until January 1, 2026, see the preceding version.
