Declaration of purpose. This chapter is enacted for the purpose of safeguarding the citizens of this state by regulation of the private detective and private security businesses. The regulation of such businesses is declared to be in the public interest; and this chapter shall be liberally construed so as to accomplish the foregoing purpose. ## History Ga.
