Exceptions to operation of chapter. (a) Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to authorize the practice of medicine by any person not licensed by the Georgia Composite Medical Board. (b) This chapter does not apply to physicians licensed by the Georgia Composite Medical Board; to dentists, duly qualified and registered under the laws of this state who confine their practice strictly to dentistry; nor to licensed optometrists who confine their practice strictly to optometry as defined by law; nor to occupational therapists; nor to nurses who practice nursing only; nor to duly licensed chiropodists or podiatrists who confine their practice strictly to chiropody or podiatry as defined by law; nor to physical therapists who confine their practice to physical therapy; nor shall any provisions of this chapter be construed so as to limit or prevent any person duly licensed under the laws of this state to practice the profession for which he or she was licensed. ## History Ga.
