# O.C.G.A. § 44-11-33. Issuance of writ of possession; fi. fa. for costs; presentation to law enforcement.

If the trial provided for in Code Section 44-11-32 finds a verdict for the plaintiff, the clerk of the court shall issue a writ of possession instanter and a fi. fa. for the costs of the proceeding and any other monetary relief awarded by the court. The plaintiff and the court shall be authorized to present the final order to law enforcement for investigation or prosecution.

## Editor's Notes

Ga. L. 2024, p. 400, § 1/HB 1017, not codified by the General Assembly, provides: “This Act shall be known and may be cited as the ‘Georgia Squatter Reform Act.’”

## Amendments

The 2024 amendment, effective April 24, 2024, in the first sentence in this Code section, deleted “the jury, upon” following “If” at the beginning, inserted “instanter” near the middle, and added “and any other monetary relief awarded by the court” at the end, and added the second sentence.

The 2025 amendment, effective July 1, 2025, part of an Act to revise, modernize, and correct the Code, substituted “44-11-32 finds” for “44-11-32 finds” in the first sentence.
