Rights as to liens of partnerships, corporations, and associations made up of or employing registered architects, foresters, land surveyors, professional engineers, or interior designers. If services are performed or furnished with respect to any real estate by any registered architect, registered forester, registered land surveyor, registered professional engineer, or registered interior designer who is a member of a partnership or who is an agent or employee of a corporation or an association and the contract for the services is made for or on behalf of the owner with the partnership or corporation or association, the partnership, corporation, or association shall be entitled to all the privileges and benefits of Code Sections 44-14-361 and 44-14-362, just as if the partnership, corporation, or association was a registered architect, a registered forester, a registered land surveyor, a registered professional engineer, or a registered interior designer. ## History Ga. The 2021 amendment, effective May 10, 2021, substituted “land surveyor, registered professional engineer, or registered interior designer” for “land surveyor or registered professional engineer” near the beginning and substituted “forester, a registered land surveyor, a registered professional engineer, or a registered interior designer” for “forester, a registered professional engineer, or a registered land surveyor” at the end. See Editor’s notes for applicability. ## Editor's Notes Ga. L. 2021, p. 674, § 7/HB 480, not codified by the General Assembly, provides: “This Act shall become effective upon its approval by the Governor or upon its becoming law without such approval and Sections 2 through 8 of this Act shall apply to labor, services, or materials performed or furnished by registered interior designers on or after such date.” This Act was approved by the Governor on May 10, 2021.
