Bond. Before entering on the duties of his office, the Secretary of State shall execute a bond with sufficient securities, to be approved by the Governor, in the sum of $10,000.00, conditioned for the faithful performance of all the duties of his office and all such duties as shall be required of him by the General Assembly or the laws of this state and for a faithful accounting of all the public money or effects that may come into his hands during his continuance in office.
