Role of Department of Administrative Services in reducing barriers to state employment. The Department of Administrative Services shall: (1) Regularly assess the educational, experiential, and training requirements necessary for each job within each department, agency, board, bureau, office, commission, public corporation, or authority; (2) Identify jobs for which the educational, experiential, and training requirements could be reduced from their present level; and (3) Insofar as practicable, reduce the number of jobs for which a four-year college degree is required as a condition of employment. ## History Code 1981, § 45-20-22, enacted by Ga. L. 2023, p. 103, § 2/SB 3, effective July 1, 2023. ## Editor's Notes Ga. L. 2023, p. 103, § 1/SB 3, not codified by the General Assembly, provides: “This Act shall be known and may be cited as the ‘Reducing Barriers to State Employment Act of 2023.’” ## Effective Date This Code section became effective July 1, 2023.
