45-21-6. Further investigation of suggestions or ideas by commissioner; report of findings and recommendations; board to make final determination.

  1. The commissioner shall make any further investigation deemed appropriate with respect to any suggestion or idea whether or not reported by the appointing authorities and shall report his or her findings and recommendations to the board. Subject to any rules adopted under this chapter, the board shall make the final determination as to what action will be taken on awards for employee suggestions or ideas including what, if anything, shall be awarded to an employee.
