Compensation not to be awarded when penal violation, intentionally self-inflicted injuries, natural causes, or performance of certain routine duties caused or contributed to disability. (a) No compensation shall be awarded to any person otherwise entitled thereto who violates a penal law of this state which violation caused or contributed to the disability of the law enforcement officer or firefighter. (b) Notwithstanding any other provision of this article, no payment shall be authorized if disability occurs from intentionally self-inflicted injuries or natural causes or while performing routine duties which would not be strenuous or dangerous if performed by persons of average physical abilities. ## History Code 1981, § 45-9-105, enacted by Ga.
