49-6-101. Definitions.

  1. As used in this article, the term:

  2. (1)

    “Department” means the Department of Community Health.#

  3. (2)

    “Georgia Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly” or “PACE” means the comprehensive, voluntary program that provides an alternative to nursing home care for eligible older adults as authorized by the federal government under the federal Social Security Act, 42 U.S.C. Sections 1395eee and 1396u-4, as amended.#

  4. (3)

    “Medicaid” shall have the same meaning as set forth in Code Section 49-5-272.#

  5. (4)

    “Medical assistance” shall have the same meaning as set forth in Code Section 49-4-141.#
