Ratification of department standards and procedures by General Assembly. The initial minimum standards and procedures promulgated by the department pursuant to Code Section 50-8-7.1 shall be submitted by the department to the General Assembly at the next regular session following July 1, 1989, and shall become effective only when ratified by joint resolution of the General Assembly. The power of the department to promulgate such initial minimum standards and procedures shall be deemed to be dependent upon such ratification. Any subsequent amendments or additions to the initial minimum standards and procedures promulgated by the department pursuant to Code Section 50-8-7.1 shall be promulgated in accordance with and subject to the provisions of Chapter 13 of this title, the “Georgia Administrative Procedure Act.” ## History Code 1981, § 50-8-7.2, enacted by Ga. L. 1989, p. 1317, § 2.1. ## Code Commission Notes Pursuant to Code Section 28-9-5, in 1990, “July 1, 1989,” was substituted for “the effective date of this Act” in the middle of the first sentence. ## Editor's Notes By resolution (Ga. L. 1990, p. 406), the General Assembly ratified the initial minimum standards and procedures for the protection of the natural resources, environment, and vital areas of the state adopted by the Department and Board of Natural Resources on December 6, 1990. By resolution (Ga. L. 1990, p. 206), the General Assembly ratified the supplemental funding formula for regional development centers adopted by the Department and Board of Community Affairs on February 14, 1990.
