50-9-101. Purchase of materials and fixtures to be based on life cycle costs.

  1. Any other provision of law to the contrary notwithstanding, the authority created by Article 1 of this chapter and all other state departments, agencies, and authorities shall purchase building materials and fixtures for use in the construction, reconstruction, renovation, and operation of state buildings and facilities taking into account life cycle costs in addition to acquisition cost.
