# O.C.G.A. § 53-2-2. Construction.

(a) Code Sections 53-2-3 and 53-2-4 shall be subject to the provisions of subparagraph (d)(2)(B) of Code Section 19-7-22.

(b) Nothing in this chapter shall be applied or construed to expand or extend the jurisdiction of the probate courts for purposes of Article 2 of Chapter 11 of Title 19, the “Uniform Reciprocal Enforcement of Support Act,” or Article 3 of Chapter 11 of Title 19, the “Uniform Interstate Family Support Act.”

The former Code section, relating to the effect of a degree of adoption, was based on Ga. L. 1996, p. 504, § 10 and was repealed and reserved by Ga. L. 1997, p. 1352, § 3, effective January 1, 1998.
