Const. Art. X, Sec. I, Para. VI. Effective date of amendments or of a new Constitution. A constitution provision shown as in force is in force as printed in the volume. A court decision can make a printed provision unenforceable without changing the volume, and the volume does not record that. Unless the amendment or the new Constitution itself or the resolution proposing the amendment or the new Constitution shall provide otherwise, an amendment to this Constitution or a new Constitution shall become effective on the first day of January following its ratification. ## Law Reviews For article, ‘‘History of the Veto Power in Georgia,’’see 8 Ga.
