They are not official records and can mishear words, names, and numbers. Speakers are not identified. - The meeting summaries and bill discussions are written by gpt-6.1-sol from the transcript. A bill is linked only where its number is said in the stretch of the meeting the summary gives for it, or in a committee hearing whose agenda lists that bill alone. - 5,486 of 8,222 bill discussions are confirmed by an official record: a House or Senate Journal, Senate committee minutes, or the bill's status history on the General Assembly's website. - Spanish translations of the summaries: 623 of 623 meetings. - The videos are the General Assembly's, on its Vimeo channels; Georgia Commons links to them and does not copy the audio or video. ## Source The Georgia House and Senate post video of their floor sessions and committee meetings on their Vimeo channels, and list their meetings, with agendas, on the General Assembly's website. Georgia Commons pairs each video with the meeting it records, by the meeting's body and date, and keeps a meeting only when it is a floor session, a full standing committee, or the Rules Committee. The video stays on the chamber's channel: each meeting page embeds the General Assembly's player and links to it, and Georgia Commons does not copy or host the audio or the video. ## Transcripts Each transcript is made by a speech-recognition model (ElevenLabs Scribe v2) from the video's audio, with long silences left out and every timestamp mapped back to the video. It is a machine transcript, not an official record: it can mishear words, names, and numbers, and the video is what was said. Speakers are not identified or named. ## Summaries and bill discussions gpt-6.1-sol reads the transcript with the bills the meeting could take up and writes a short summary of the meeting and, for each bill the meeting took up, an account of its discussion: what the bill does as presented, the reasons given for and against it, the questions asked, and what was decided, with speakers described by role. A bill is linked only where its number is said in the stretch of the meeting the account gives for it, or in a committee hearing whose agenda lists that bill alone; the rest are dropped. Bills only read aloud on the floor are listed without an account. These summaries sit under headings that name them as written by Georgia Commons. Each is checked, where an official record exists, against the House or Senate Journal, the Senate committee's minutes, or the bill's status history on the General Assembly's website, and the confirming page is named. ## Coverage - meetings: 623 from 2026-01-12 to 2026-10-06 (946.7 hours of video) - bill discussions: 8222 (4208 discussed, 4014 read aloud), 5486 confirmed by an official record - Spanish summaries: 623 - last update: 2026-10-23T02:26:28+00:00 ## Addresses A meeting's address is its date and its body: `/meetings/2026-02-05/house-rules`, `/meetings/2026-03-03/house-floor-am` for a meeting recorded in parts. A body's meetings are at `/meetings/house-rules`, a day's at `/meetings/2026-02-05`, a year's at `/meetings/2026`. Addresses do not change once published. ## Machine addresses - index: https://georgiacommons.org/meetings/index.md - search: https://georgiacommons.org/meetings/search.md?q=your+words - MCP: https://mcp.georgiacommons.org/mcp - site map: https://georgiacommons.org/index.md ## Independence Georgia Commons is an independent project of Georgia Civic Data.
