25 LC 39 4437 House Bill 50 By: Representatives Davis of the 87th, Cummings of the 39th, Jackson of the 165th, Burnough of the 77th, Jones of the 60th, and others A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend Code Section 40-2-86 of the Official Code of Georgia A nnotated, relating to1 license plates promoting or supporting certain agencies, funds, or nonprofit corporations with2 proceeds disbursed to the general fund and the agency, fund, or nonprofit corporation, so as3 to establish a specialty license plate honoring Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; to provide4 for related matters; to provide for compliance with constitutio nal requirements; to repeal5 conflicting laws; and for other purposes.6 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:7 SECTION 1.8 Code Section 40-2-86 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to license plates9 promoting or supporting certain agencies, funds, or nonprofit c orporations with proceeds10 disbursed to the general fund and the agency, fund, or nonprofit corporation, is amended by11 adding a new paragraph to subsection (l) to read as follows:12 "(71) A special license plate honoring Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The funds raised13 by the sale of this special license plate shall be disbursed to the Delta Life Development14 Center."15 H. B. 50 - 1 - 25 LC 39 4437 SECTION 2.16 In accordance with the requirements of Article III, Section IX, Paragraph VI(n) of the17 Constitution of the State of Georgia, this Act shall not become law unless it receives the18 requisite two-thirds' majority vote in both the Senate and the House of Representatives.19 SECTION 3.20 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.21 H.
