A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers (GACCP) represents home and community-based service providers across the state of Georgia who deliver compassionate, high-quality care to individuals with disabilities, complex care needs, and aging populations; and
WHEREAS, GACCP member providers deliver essential services through Medicaid waiver programs including, but not limited to, the ICWP, EDWP, NOW, and COMP waivers, allowing individuals to receive personalized care in their homes and communities rather than in institutional settings; and
WHEREAS, these providers serve communities throughout Georgia, with a significant number operating in underserved and rural areas where access to care is limited and community-based providers are often the primary source of support for individuals and families; and
WHEREAS, home and community-based services promote independence, dignity, and quality of life by empowering individuals to remain connected to their families, neighborhoods, and communities while receiving the care they need; and
WHEREAS, these providers allow Georgians to live at home for as long as possible outside of institutional settings and therefore at great savings to taxpayers; and
WHEREAS, the commitment, professionalism, and compassion of GACCP providers and their workforce are vital to maintaining a stable, accessible, and effective system of care that supports thousands of Georgians and their families each day.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers for its continued commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care to individuals with disabilities, complex care needs, and aging populations. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers.
