House Resolution 2051

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing the athletic achievements of Owen Cooper; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Owen Cooper, a distinguished student athlete representing North Forsyth High School, has demonstrated exceptional, dedication, discipline, and prowess in the sport of competitive swimming; and

WHEREAS, through rigorous training and unwavering commitment to excellence Owen has achieved remarkable milestones during the competitive season; and

WHEREAS, Owen recorded an outstanding time of 20.53 seconds in the 50 yard freestyle, showcasing explosive speed and technical precision; and

WHEREAS, Owen further distinguished himself by clocking a phenomenal time of 44.72 seconds in the 100 yard freestyle; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the superlative abilities of this accomplished and gifted student-athlete, as well as the pride, honor, and respect he has brought to him, his school, and his community, be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Owen Cooper for his extraordinary performance in the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events and celebrate his hard earned success in the pool.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Owen Cooper.
