House Resolution 501

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending John Reyes Martinez; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, second-grader John Reyes Martinez is the youngest student to represent Norcross Elementary School at the Capitol Art Exhibit in 15 years, which now features his self portrait made using oil pastels; and

WHEREAS, John Reyes Martinez comes from a loving family of nine and lives with his beloved cat, Russo, and dog, Chapito; and

WHEREAS, outside of art, he enjoys playing soccer as well as studying math and science in school; and

WHEREAS, he comes from a loving family of nine and lives with his beloved cat, Russo, and dog, Chapito; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this young artist be appropriately honored.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend the exemplary artistic and academic abilities of John Reyes Martinez and extend sincere best wishes for his continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to John Reyes Martinez.
