A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Coach Keith Maloof upon his retirement; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Coach Keith Maloof has had a long and distinguished career, coaching for over 40 years and serving as head coach for 29; and

WHEREAS, from 1999 to 2024, Coach Maloof was the football coach at Norcross High School, leading the team to countless victories; and

WHEREAS, in his 26 seasons at Norcross High School, he never had a losing regular season record; and

WHEREAS, Coach Maloof holds the overall head coaching record of 232-103, with a 210-92 record at Norcross, making him the winningest head coach in Gwinnett County history; and

WHEREAS, he has left an indelible mark on the student athletes he has coached and mentored, including numerous players who advanced to the NFL, such as Alvin Kamara, Lorenzo Carter, Jake Camarda, Max Garcia, Brice Butler, and Robert Beal; and

WHEREAS, in 2023, Coach Maloof's was named the Atlanta Falcons Coach of the Year, recognizing his leadership, integrity, and on-field success; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exemplary coach be recognized for his outstanding impact on the students, athletes, and the football program at Norcross High School.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Coach Keith Maloof, congratulate him upon the grand occasion of his retirement, and extend sincere best wishes fo his continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Coach Keith Maloof.
