A RESOLUTION

Commending Sarah Mallett for being named Bibb County's Teacher of the Year for 2024 and recognizing her exceptional contributions to education and the community; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Sarah Mallett, an Audio, Video, Technology, and Film teacher at Howard Middle School, has been honored as Bibb County's Teacher of the Year for 2024, reflecting her dedication to excellence in teaching and her positive impact on students; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Mallett, a third-generation educator, has demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation in the classroom, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and achievement; and

WHEREAS, her classes are responsible for delivering school announcements, producing a weekly newsletter, and creating video projects, providing students with valuable hands-on experience in media production; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Mallett's personal motto, "every student that comes in knows that no matter who you are, or where you come from, you have a seat at my table," exemplifies her commitment to inclusivity and ensuring all students feel valued and supported; and

WHEREAS, her dedication extends beyond the classroom, as she actively participates in extracurricular activities and community initiatives, further enriching the educational experience for her students and strengthening community ties; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Mallett's passion for education and unwavering commitment to her students serve as an inspiration to her colleagues, students, and the broader community.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Sarah Mallett, Bibb County's Teacher of the Year for 2024, for her exemplary service as an educator and her significant contributions to the academic and personal development of her students.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Sarah Mallett.
