A RESOLUTION
Commending D.J. Hurm for being named Monroe County's Teacher of the Year for 2024 and recognizing his exceptional contributions to education and the community; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, D.J. Hurm, a dedicated educator at Mary Persons High School, has been honored as Monroe County's Teacher of the Year for 2024, reflecting his commitment to excellence in teaching and his positive impact on students; and
WHEREAS, D.J. Hurm has demonstrated outstanding leadership and innovation in the classroom, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment that encourages student growth and achievement; and
WHEREAS, his dedication extends beyond the classroom as he actively participates in extracurricular activities and community initiatives, further enriching the educational experience for his students and strengthening community ties; and
WHEREAS, his passion for education and unwavering commitment to his students serve as an inspiration to his colleagues, students, and the broader community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend D.J. Hurm for his exemplary service as an educator, his recognition as Monroe County's Teacher of the Year for 2024, and his significant contributions to the academic and personal development of his students. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to D.J. Hurm.
