A RESOLUTION
Commending Adrienne Gates and recognizing March 20, 2025, as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day acknowledges the philanthropic, social, and cultural contributions of women in the state; and
WHEREAS, Adrienne Gates has long been recognized for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Adrienne is the founder of P.O.W.E.R. Atlanta Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals, children, and families in underserved communities through essential resources, financial literacy, and health-focused initiatives; and
WHEREAS, under her leadership, P.O.W.E.R. Atlanta Inc., has become a critical hub for Metro-Atlanta, offering holistic support that meets people where they are; and
WHEREAS, beyond her work at P.O.W.E.R. Atlanta Inc., Adrienne serves on multiple community advisory boards, using her lived experience to advocate for policies and programs that drive real change; and
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life; and
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness ; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding contributions of this individual be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend Adrienne Gates for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia; recognize March, 20, 2025, as as TrailBlazing Women in Georgia Day; and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Adrienne Gates.
