House Resolution 701

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Dr. Chanikki Brown-Reeves; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most important objective of the General Assembly; and

WHEREAS, with nearly two decades of educational experience, Dr. Chanikki Brown-Reeves has played a pivotal role in professional development leadership within Clayton County Public Schools, shaping the pedagogical landscape of the district's science department; and

WHEREAS, in her role as a Title I Instructional Coach, she works with teachers and administrators to design and implement development programs, conduct classroom observations, and provide coaching to enhance instructional practices; and

WHEREAS, her leadership has been instrumental in the certification of the STEM Initiative Program in partnership with AgriTech Solutions, Fort Valley State University Extension, and other stakeholders, expanding opportunities for students in agricultural education; and

WHEREAS, Dr. Brown-Reeves' work with Agriteens and Georgia Women in Agriculture has significantly contributed to student success, fostering a passion for agricultural science and equipping students with the skills necessary for future careers in STEM fields; and

WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding education professional.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Chanikki Brown-Reeves for her outstanding leadership in STEM and agricultural education as well as extend best wishes for her continued success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr. Chanikki Brown-Reeves.
