A RESOLUTION

Commending Delano Page, Rockdale Magnet School for Science and Technology's Class of 2025 valedictorian; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, a proper quality education for the young people of this state is the single most important objective of the General Assembly; and

WHEREAS, Delano Page has shown by academic accomplishment that the pursuit and attainment of scholastic success are within the reach of the students in this state; and

WHEREAS, this remarkable senior has earned distinction through his notable achievements as a student at Rockdal Magnet School for Science and Technology where he is a member of the Rockdale Magnet Math Team, Rockdale Peer Tutors, Rockdale Student Council, ScholarsU, the Varsity Tennis team, Georgia Youth Justice Coalition, National Coalition Against Censorship, Witness to Mass Incarceration, Prison Mathematics Program, Generation Human Rights, and Statistics Without Borders; and

WHEREAS, he has been selected as valedictorian by earning exemplary grades in the most challenging academic courses while maintaining a substantial extracurricular schedule throughout his academic career; and

WHEREAS, this achievement is the culmination of Delano Page's hard work and determination, and he deserves much credit for his energy and dedication to academic excellence; and

WHEREAS, he is an outstanding representative of the young people of this state and it is only fitting and proper that he be recognized for his many accomplishments.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body heartily commend Delano Page for his spectacular scholastic endeavors and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Delano Page.
