A RESOLUTION

Commending the Alpharetta Raiders Volleyball Team for winning the 2024 GHSA 6A Volleyball State Championship; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Alpharetta Raiders Volleyball Team has established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and

WHEREAS, this superlative team completed a triumphant season of volleyball competition by posting an outstanding, undefeated record of 36 wins and zero losses; and

WHEREAS, outstanding play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable 2024 campaign, the team captured back-to-back state titles and secured the third volleyball state championship in school history; and

WHEREAS, the team's phenomenal performance is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, dedication, and hard work of each member, as well as their unity of purpose and spirit, superb offensive and defensive talents, and the astute direction of Head Coaches Marshall King and Grace Fossier; and

WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition, it is abundantly proper to call them champions.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body commend the Alpharetta Raiders Volleyball Team for winning the 2024 GHSA 6A Volleyball State Championship and extend their most sincere best wishes for continued success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Alpharetta Raiders Volleyball Team.
