A RESOLUTION

Congratulating the Lambert High School Economics Team for winning the 2024 World Economics Cup; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Lambert High School Economics Team achieved extraordinary distinction by finishing in first place at the 2024 World Economics Cup, an international academic competition that aims to identify, inspire, empower, and support future leaders in the field of economics; and

WHEREAS, the 2024 International Final featured the theme "The Dawn of a Tech-Driven New Economy" and challenged students through two objective tests as well as a final task that required the teams to use their economics knowledge to address critical issues within a 24-hour time frame; and

WHEREAS, Lambert High School earned first place among 398 teams and 2,191 competitors representing 50 countries across five continents, demonstrating exceptional talent, discipline, and innovation; and

WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team reflects the remarkable academic abilities, collaborative spirit, and commitment of its members: Arhan Barve, Neal Karani, Shivam Gupta, Ethan Baek, Vivan Kotla, and Balaskanda Sivanandame; and

WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence in economics by performing with courage and precision, it is abundantly fitting and proper to honor them as champions.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body congratulate the Lambert High School Economics Team for winning the 2024 World Economics Cup and extend best wishes for their continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Lambert High School Economics Team.
