House Resolution 880

A RESOLUTION

Honoring Lydia Hallmark; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Lydia Hallmark has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Hallmark is a member of the Floyd County, Paulding County, and Cobb County Republican Women, as well as the Paulding County Republican Party and the Cobb County Republican Party; and

WHEREAS, she served the Paulding County GOP as assistant treasurer, chair of the nominating committee, and corresponding secretary; and

WHEREAS, in 2008, she co-founded the Paulding County Republican Women’s Club where she has held numerous positions; and

WHEREAS, currently, she holds the title of President of the Paulding County Republican Women's Club; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Hallmark's exemplary service with the Georgia Federation of Republican women has earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues and associates; and

WHEREAS, in 2016, she was elected as delegate to the Republican National Convention to represent the 14th District; and

WHEREAS, in 2019, Mrs. Hallmark served as 14th District Chair for “Women for Trump," and further supported the president as a Trump 47 Captain, in 2024; and

WHEREAS, she is the proud Recipient of the only two awards given by the Paulding County Republican Party, the 2011 Grassroots Volunteer of the year award and the 2015 Betty Finch, Lifetime Achievement Award; and

WHEREAS, she received the Republican of the Year award at District Convention 2021 and the Heritage Action We the People Award, in Orlando, in November 2021, for her work on the Georgia Election Integrity Bill; and

WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Lydia Hallmark for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Lydia Hallmark.
