A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Mikayla Arciaga; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, March is celebrated as Women's History Month, a time to honor and recognize the invaluable contributions of women throughout history and across all fields and trades; and
WHEREAS, Mikayla Arciaga's contributions to the community reflect the core values of Women's History Month; and
WHEREAS, Mikayla is IDRA's Georgia advocacy director, working to connect parents, students, and community members with the resources needed to engage in the state policymaking process; and
WHEREAS, prior to her service with IDRA, Mikayla spent five years as a high school math teacher and swim coach; and
WHEREAS, she leverages her experiences as a teacher, coach, and mentor of young people to advocate for more diverse and inverse classrooms, that are safe and welcoming for every child and family; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding contributions of this remarkable woman are recognized during Women's History Month.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Mikayla Arciaga for her unwavering dedication to her community and extend sincere best wishes for her continued health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Mikayla Arciaga.
