A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending DeeDee Hamilton; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, DeeDee Hamilton has made a profound impact on the lives of countless children through her nearly two decades of service as a dedicated foster parent, opening her heart and home to children who have experienced severe abuse, neglect, and who often have special needs; and
WHEREAS, she has frequently cared for three to four children at a time, providing a stable, loving, and nurturing environment for those most in need; and
WHEREAS, as additional testament to her commitment to youth who require extra care and attention, this distinguished individual has further served her community as a special education teacher for 17 years; and
WHEREAS, a resident of Georgia since 2012, DeeDee Hamilton holds an undergraduate degree in health information management from the University of Tennessee in Memphis as well as a master's degree in special education from Grand Canyon University; and
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life; and
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend DeeDee Hamilton for her many outstanding contributions on behalf of the youth of this state as well as extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to DeeDee Hamilton.
