Floor Amend 1 AM 56 0046 to SB 410

OUT OF ORDER Senators Jones II of the 22nd, Anderson of the 43rd, and Halpern of the 39th offered the following amendment #1: Amend the Senate Committee on Finance substitute to SB 410 (LC 59 0402S) by replacing lines 3 and 4 with the following: so as to prohibit certain costs incurred by an electric utility from being included in certain rates; to repeal the high-technology computer equipment and data center equipment By replacing lines 22 through 33 with the following: (b) Notwithstanding the provisions of Code Section 46-3-11, no costs incurred by an electric utility, including, but not limited to, costs associated with increased fuel requirements, generation costs, and transmission costs that are related to the provision of electric services to large load customers and would not have been incurred but for the electric demand of such large load customers, shall be included in any rates or charges allowed to go into effect under Code Section 46-2-25 or 46-2-26 unless such rates or charges are designed to substantially recover such costs from such large load customers.
