Senate Resolution 450

A RESOLUTION

Congratulating and commending Mallory Minor for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, in 1999, Representative Nikki T. Randall became the first African American female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia, and over her 17 years of service as a legislator, she held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the Georgia Women's Legislative Caucus; and

WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Women's Legislative Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify the leadership and inspiration embodied by Representative Randall; and

WHEREAS, Mallory Minor currently serves as court administrator and clerk of court for the Municipal Court of the City of Stonecrest, where her leadership has resulted in the court's receipt of multiple prestigious awards and honors; and

WHEREAS, she previously served as magistrate clerk of court for the Magistrate Court of Rockdale County, becoming the first African American woman in the county's history to hold this position upon her appointment and playing a key role in launching impactful court-to-community initiatives such as the Smart Justice video series, an annual youth law camp, and student mentorship programs during her tenure; and

WHEREAS, under her leadership, the Magistrate Court of Rockdale County received the 2018 Judicial Clearance Rate Excellence Award from the Judicial Council of Georgia Standing Committee on Judicial Workload Assessment; and

WHEREAS, Mallory Minor has established a glowing reputation of renown throughout Georgia for her dedication to the legal profession, her commitment to mentoring youth, and her exemplary service on numerous boards and organizations; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this extraordinary servant leader be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body congratulate and commend Mallory Minor for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award and extend best wishes for her continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Mallory Minor.
