Senate Resolution 455

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending QuikTrip for its incredible contributions to Hurricane Helene relief across Southeast Georgia; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the generous donations and efforts made by QuikTrip were vital in the recovery and restoration of the people and communities of State Senate District 19 in the wake of Hurricane Helene; and

WHEREAS, this corporation donated a total of $110,000 to the Toombs Strong Fund, the Weathered but Strong Fund, Manna House Ministries, Effingham Family Connection, and Screven Family Connection; and

WHEREAS, an additional $45,000 worth of essential supplies was delivered to the impacted areas; and

WHEREAS, these deliveries included water, drinks, food, flashlights, and other necessary items for the initial stages of community restoration; and

WHEREAS, the efforts made by QuikTrip provided both immediate relief and a lasting impact on the families who were most vulnerable after the devastation of Hurricane Helene; and

WHEREAS, QuikTrip demonstrated its incredible support and commitment to the citizens of this state through the relief it provided.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend QuikTrip for its immense generosity and invaluable contributions to our state's recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to QuikTrip.
