A RESOLUTION
Applauding Senator Brandon Beach for his exceptional service in the Georgia State Senate, his leadership in both public and private sectors, and congratulating him on his recent appointment as United States Treasurer in the current Trump Administration; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Senator Brandon Beach has served the people of Georgia with distinction for over two decades, having been elected to the Georgia State Senate in 2003 and currently serving as a Senator representing the 21st District, which includes parts of North Fulton and East Cobb counties; and
WHEREAS, Senator Beach has held several influential positions in the Senate, including his service as the Chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee, where he was instrumental in advancing transportation and infrastructure reforms critical to Georgia's economic growth and global competitiveness; and
WHEREAS, in addition to his work in transportation, Senator Beach served as Chairman of the Senate Economic Development and Tourism Committee, where he focused on fostering a business-friendly environment in Georgia; his work in this area included attracting major investments in key industries such as technology, entertainment, and manufacturing; and
WHEREAS, Senator Beach's service on various other committees, including the Senate Appropriations Committee, the Senate Rules Committee, and the Senate Ethics Committee, further reflects his influence and leadership in shaping policy decisions that affect all parts of Georgia's governance and economy; and
WHEREAS, Senator Beach's background outside of the Senate has been equally impressive, with a successful career in business, during which he has owned and operated multiple companies. He serves as the Executive Director and founder of the North Fulton Improvement District (NFCID) and has held key leadership roles, including serving on the boards of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) and the Georgia Department of Transportation as well as Chair of the Public-Private Partnership Committee and the Land Development Committee; furthermore, he has served as Chairman of the Fulton County Development Authority; and
WHEREAS, Senator Beach's integrity, approach to problem-solving, and commitment to public service have earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues and constituents, as well as recognition as a strong leader in Georgia politics; and
WHEREAS, Senator Beach's exemplary leadership and dedication to the people of Georgia were recognized on a national scale when he was appointed by President Donald J. Trump to serve as the United States Treasurer, a role in which he will carry significant responsibility for overseeing the nation's financial operations, managing the U.S. Mint and Fort Knox, and advising on matters of fiscal policy; and
WHEREAS, as the first Georgian to serve in this capacity, Senator Beach will continue to demonstrate the same commitment to public service, financial stewardship, and integrity that defined his career in the Georgia State Senate, ensuring that federal fiscal policies serve the best interests of all Americans; and
WHEREAS, this prestigious appointment stands as a testament to Senator Beach's tireless dedication to the public good, his leadership in both state and national government, and his ongoing commitment to improving the financial systems that support the country's economy.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body honor and applaud Senator Brandon Beach for his exceptional service to the State of Georgia, his remarkable career in both the public and private sectors, and his outstanding contributions to the nation's financial policy as well as congratulate him on his appointment as United States Treasurer in the Trump Administration.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Senator Brandon Beach.
