Senate Resolution 611

By: Senators Walker III of the 20th, Kirkpatrick of the 32nd, Watson of the 1st, Cowsert of the 46th and Albers of the 56th

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers (GACCP) represents home and community-based service providers across the State of Georgia who deliver compassionate, high-quality care to individuals with disabilities, complex care needs, and aging populations; and

WHEREAS, GACCP member providers deliver essential services through Medicaid waiver programs including, but not limited to, the ICWP, EDWP, NOW, and COMP waivers, allowing individuals to receive personalized care in their homes and communities rather than in institutional settings; and

WHEREAS, these providers serve communities throughout Georgia, with a significant number operating in underserved and rural areas where access to care is limited and community-based providers are often the primary source of support for individuals and families; and

WHEREAS, home and community-based services promote independence, dignity, and quality of life by empowering individuals to remain connected to their families, neighborhoods, and communities while receiving the care they need.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers and extend best wishes for continued growth and success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Georgia Association of Community Care Providers.
