What this collection holds, and what it leaves out
- Subcommittee, study committee, and joint meetings are not included, nor are meetings with no video on the chamber's channel.
- The transcripts are machine transcripts made by ElevenLabs Scribe v2 from the video's audio. They are not official records and can mishear words, names, and numbers. Speakers are not identified.
- The meeting summaries and bill discussions are written by gpt-6.1-sol from the transcript. A bill is linked only where its number is said in the stretch of the meeting the summary gives for it, or in a committee hearing whose agenda lists that bill alone.
- 5,486 of 8,222 bill discussions are confirmed by an official record: a House or Senate Journal, Senate committee minutes, or the bill's status history on the General Assembly's website.
- Spanish translations of the summaries: 623 of 623 meetings.
- The videos are the General Assembly's, on its Vimeo channels; Georgia Commons links to them and does not copy the audio or video.

Summary by Georgia Commons: The committee heard testimony only and took no votes. Two independent pharmacists said insurance payments below their costs threaten pharmacy access and called for changes to pharmacy benefit manager practices. A Ninth District Opportunity Head Start director described barriers to children’s medical, dental and vision care and urged higher Medicaid payments and easier enrollment. A Children’s Care Network representative sought faster sharing of patient information, fewer payment and credentialing delays, and clearer planning for changes in Medicaid managed-care companies. A Georgia CORE representative reviewed cancer-care study recommendations, including expanded screening, rural workforce support and access to clinical trials. The chair said work was underway to simplify dental sedation permits and noted that many cancer-care recommendations would require funding.

Members also ordered its immediate transmission to the Senate. The House withdrew HR 949, heard first and second readings of legislation, and adopted five recognition and memorial resolutions without objection. Members observed a moment of silence for a deceased colleague before adjourning until January 13 at 10 a.m.
