LOST Senator Merritt of the 9th offered the following amendment #2: Amend HB 1396 (LC 56 0608) by replacing line 7 with the following: citations; to provide for exceptions; to provide for a territory of applicability; to provide for the provision of transport to and services by other municipalities under certain circumstances; to provide for costs of such transportation and services; to provide for By replacing line 60 with the following: school system. (e) Should the participation requirement created under paragraph (1) of subsection (b) create a shortage of outreach services in the area described in subsection (d) of this Code section, homeless individuals unable to obtain outreach services in such area shall be transported to, and provided outreach services by, a municipality created after January 1, 2024, that is also located within a county in which 15 or more municipalities are wholly or partially located within such county. Such municipality shall be responsible for all costs of transportation and provision of outreach services under this subsection."
