20-3-518.1. Definitions.

  1. As used in this part, the term:

  2. (1)

    “Animal shelter,” “nonprofit pet sterilization clinic,” “pet sterilization services,” and “shelter medicine” shall have the same meanings as set forth in Code Section 20-3-518.8.#

  3. (2)

    “Board” means the State Veterinary Education Board created under Code Section 20-3-518.2.#

  4. (3)

    “Commissioner” means the Commissioner of Agriculture.#

  5. (4)

    “Department” means the Department of Agriculture.#

Amendments

The 2025 amendment, effective July 1, 2025, added paragraph (1) and redesignated former paragraphs (1) through (3) as present paragraphs (2) through (4), respectively.
