House Resolution 1093

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending The Korean-American School of Atlanta; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, established in 1981, the Korean-American School of Atlanta (KASA) is dedicated to teaching students Korean language, culture, and history; and

WHEREAS, guided by the principles of honesty, diligence, and integrity, KASA has fostered pride in Korean heritage, creativity and a pioneering spirit, as well as a broader citizenry that actively participates in and contributes to the development of society; and

WHEREAS, under the skillfully guided hand of Principal Shim Jun-hee, and with the support of the Board of Trustees, the dedicated lives of the staff, the passionate parents who willingly sacrifice for their children, and the students who diligently study with a passion for learning KASA has gown into a renowned cultural and educational institution, solidifying the identities of Korean Americans in the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this extraordinary educational institution be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize The Korean-American School of Atlanta, commend it for its many outstanding contributions on behalf of the citizens of Georgia, and extend best wishes for its continued growth, development, and success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to The Korean-American School of Atlanta.
